The bank is implementing the vendor's daNCe (device architecture in network centric environment) technology to enable it to centrally manage peripheral equipment. The deployment is part of the bank's newly-developed Java-based branch application which, along with the daNCe platform, is due to go live in 2006.

Wincor Nixdorf says the technology will enable peripheral equipment to be accessed, configured and administered centrally, which will reduce IT costs. The bank is the first outside Germany to install the daNCe platform.

Svenska is also replacing its 54 existing automated teller safes with Wincor Nixdorf's ProCash 6100 safes.
