The new self-service facililty, which is ING's first in the Romanian market, was developed in partnership with local IT services firm Romsys.

Customers can use the ProConsult 2000 self-service terminal to deposit and withdraw cash, make bill payments and transfer funds.

The ProCash 3100 system combines cash deposit and dispensing. The terminal is able to count and sort bundles of up to 400 banknotes in a single transaction. Banknotes are counterfeit-checked and can be made available for withdrawal without leaving the machine.

ING will also use Wincor Nixdorf's ProTopas ATM application to manage graphics and text as well as audio and video content, which can be stored either locally on a terminal or centrally on a server. The web-based technology will also enable the bank to introduce new services over the ATMs.
