Dublin-based Client Solutions is to integrate SunGard Trading and Risk Systems' BancWare Insight product with its data warehousing software to provide a combined data management solution for Basel II and IAS 39 compliance.
Under the deal, Bancware Insight will form the data cleansing, extraction and reporting engine to Client Solutions' warehousing and management products. SunGard says the integrated package will help firms in Ireland comply with Basel II and IAS 39 regulations.
Terence Faherty, president, BancWare, says, "Institutions recognise that the technology prerequisites to meeting Basel II and IAS 39 requirements include robust data management and systems integration."
Client Solutions will provide local support to Irish clients of both products.
SunGard's BancWare product suite offers clients the specific functionality required to deliver a solution for IAS 39. The package also offers a Basel II module the provides instrument coverage for balance sheet items, auditable and documentable results, standardised and internal ratings based (IRB) approaches and pre-programmed methodologies.
