Panama's Banco General has selected SunGard Trading and Risk Systems' BancWare product for asset and liability management, financial planning, funds transfer pricing and profit measurement.
BancWare will deliver real-time, consistent data and analysis of balance sheet activity to the bank's risk managers and treasury and finance departments. The system will also be used to improve Banco General's reporting processes.
Francisco Sierra, executive vice president, finance, Banco General, says BancWare was selected for its ability to provide an integrated view of the balance sheet and its emphasis on clean, validated data.
He adds that the system will enable the bank to adjust strategies to better manage business and profitability.
