Travelex has selected SunGard's Mint SwiftNet Fin system as a central message integration hub, allowing it to customise message flow and enrichment.

Stuart Boon, head of business solutions, Travelex, says the Mint middleware allows the firm to consolidate its systems control on one platform.

"This now allows us to have complete management over the message lifecycle, with customised views and secure access rights for critical parts of the message lifecycle," adds Boon.

The operator has been using SunGard's Mint knowledge broker system to process travellers cheques and other international payments through Swift since 1998.

SunGard says the 'single-network multi-services' SwiftNet has led to firms consolidating as many financial services as possible into one network operations framework, to reduce total cost of ownership and increase operational efficiency.
