Dutch bank ING has gone live with the first phase of its implementation of SunGard Trading and Risk System's credit risk management solution Credient, which is delivered on an application service provider (ASP) framework.
Credient is hosted at SunGard's European computer centres and runs on an Intel architecture. The solution includes tools for portfolio analysis, exposure modelling and global and real-time pre-deal limit checks for control of credit risks.
In addition, Credient consolidates credit risk data through Web-based reporting, including exposures, mitigation and ratings.
ING is also currently using the SunGard Collateral Manager system, and the vendor has provided business consulting services to assist in designing and establishing the bank's collateral management function.
The SunGard Collateral 360 methodology provides a framework for the creation of collateral management functions in accordance with industry best practices.
