SunGard Trading and Risk shuffles senior execs

SunGard Trading and Risk Systems has shuffled its senior executive team and promoted Steve Husk to president of its Trading and Risk operating unit.

In his new role Husk will oversee the Credient, Panorama and CollateralManager applications and will report to Jim Ashton, group CEO, SunGard Trading and Risk Systems.

Currently president of the Credient/Infinity operating unit, Husk also served as senior vice president of Infinity Financial Technology before the subsequent re-branding to SunGard Trading and Risk Systems. He rejoined SunGard in 2002 from Iris Financial Systems.

Gavin Lavelle, who previously was president of the Panorama operating unit, has assumed responsibility for European business development for SunGard's corporate acquisitions team.

He will report to Richard Tarbox, senior vice president of corporate development, SunGard.

Lavelle joined Devon Systems International, which later became part of SunGard Trading and Risk Systems, in 1985. He founded derivatives firm Riofin, which was acquired by SunGard in 2000.

Juerg Hunziker, senior vice president of the Panorama operating unit, is joining SunGard Investment Management Systems as head of sales and marketing in the Americas and will report to Jack McArdle, CEO, SunGard Investment Management Systems.

Hunziker joined SunGard Capital Markets, now part of SunGard Trading and Risk Systems, in 1988, when he established the company's Zurich, Frankfurt and Paris offices.
