The two banks are offering $40,000 each for information concerning the thefts of their ATMs in the greater Maricopa County area.

The incidents occurred in the late night and early morning hours of 19th February, 27th July, 8th September and 2nd and 18th of October last year.

Each case involved the use of stolen heavy-duty construction equipment to remove or rob the ATM machines.

James Smith, SVP, corporate security for Bank of America's western region, says: "Bank of America and Wells Fargo have undertaken additional security measures to prevent future thefts and burglaries of our ATMs and we continue to cooperate with law enforcement."
