Japanese bank Sumitomo Trust is rolling out voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) trading turrets from IPC Information Systems at its London and Tokyo trading floors.
The IQMX system has been live at the bank's New York office since 2002.
Ryuji Mori, system development at Sumishin Information Service who completed the installation, says: "IPC's turrets are very user-friendly. Although the IQMX was operationally different from our old turrets, our users did not have any difficulties making the transition. Also, maintaining IPC's turrets is easy, and we can expect an increase in maintenance efficiency going forward."
