Dubai Bank, the first bank to be launched in the UAE in over 20 years, has implemented Misys Retail Banking system's Bankmaster package as its core banking solution.
Bankmaster is an integrated set of applications for retail, trade and treasury operations. The system also supports retail delivery channels including ATMs, the Internet and mobile phones.
Misys says the system was implemented within four months.
Ahmed Kalim, head of operations and technology, Dubai Bank, says: "We were able to keep testing during implementation to a minimum as Bankmaster met most of the existing regulatory and reporting requirements."
The bank enlisted KPMG to advise on business processes and guidelines for vendor selection and Hewlett Packard to provide consultancy services and software.
