Equinox Capital Management, a UK-based discretionary manager and promoter of hedge funds, has implemented eagleye, the .NET-based global compliance solution from Misys Eagleye and Microsoft, in its front and middle offices.
Eagleye is being used by Equinox to model investment strategies across all asset classes while checking for potential breaches of local and global regulatory requirements. The system also allows Equinox's risk managers to ensure pre- and post-trade compliance.
The company says the the introduction of the system has reduced operating costs by ten per cent, giving a return on the license fee within two months and ROI on implementation within six months.
Equinox is currently in the post-implementation phase, during which the company aims to integrate every fund in which it will invest into a single Microsoft SQL Server 2000 database, completely replacing its existing Oracle database.
