The bank says its individual clients more than doubled to reach 70,000 by year-end 2002.

The Equation package runs on the IBM iSeries platform and includes support for treasury operations, including foreign exchange and money market instruments.

The vendor says Equation's application programming interface (API) and published data model enables the bank to integrate the system with in-house and third-party applications.

In addition, the system will also be used to support AS Sampo Pank's corporate banking operations and provide a view of corporate client activity and loan histories.

Paddy Meany, director, retail banking, Misys International Banking Systems, adds: "By integrating all operations within a single core system, the bank can enjoy consolidation of management information and reporting across its operations."
