The new software products - WebSphere Business Components Composer and Bank Teller Business Components - are available immediately.

WebSphere Business Components Composer's V4.1.2 integration framework enables retail banks to build and integrate applications to support multiple customer channels. IBM also has extended WebSphere Business Components Composer operating system support to include Solaris and Linux, in addition to AIX, OS/2, z/OS, Windows NT and Windows 2000.

The IBM Bank Teller Business Components V4.0.3, used in conjunction with WebSphere Business Components Composer, enables networks of bank branches to transform themselves into retail banking e-businesses, says IBM.

Paraic Sweeney, vice president, marketing, solutions and strategy, IBM Software Group, says: "By exploiting standards based on the WebSphere platform and delivering focused solution support for bank automation, we are helping our banking customers to manage costs and extend their revenue opportunities."
