Banque Populaire is to implement Corebank real-time data management software and maintenance services from Alltel and IBM throughout its national banking network.
Corebank will be deployed in support of the bank's sales and distribution strategy by providing access to customer data in real-time, and enabling banking products to be changed and marketed quickly. Corebank maintains data that feeds other software applications, such as marketing databases and analytical tools.
Alltel and IBM formed a joint venture last year to develop and market the Corebank system to financial organisations throughout Europe. Alltel is responsible for the marketing, development, enhancement and maintenance of the product, while IBM is responsible for sales and implementation services.
