Wincor Nixdorf inks China Post Office ATM deal

Cash machine vendor Wincor Nixdorf has won a deal to supply 700 ATM units to China's Postal Savings and Remittance Bureau (PSRB), the fifth-largest financial institution in the country.

PSRB, the savings arm of the China State Postal Bureau, provides basic deposit and remittance services in 30,000 branches across China, servicing 270 million customers.

The vendor says it ATMs will be rolled out across PSRB branches in 18 provinces this year.

Wincor Nixdorf says the bank has also contracted with other ATM suppliers as part of a procurement strategy under which equipment is to be sourced from several manufacturers, but it will be supplying the largest share of the cash machines.
