Wincor says it will deliver 120 of its ProCash ATMs to PesaPoint, which will be used by banks in Kenya that don't operate their own cash machines to offer customers ATM services.

Bernard Matthewman, MD, PesaPoint, says: "PesaPoint offers a large part of the Kenyan national population the ability to withdraw their cash."

Wincor says the dimensions of the entry-level units are ideally suited for locations where space is at a premium and emphasis is on the handling of cash.

The vendor's local partner, Electronic Financial Transactions Kenya, will manage the deployment, and the roll out is expected to be completed by the end of November.
