Under the agreement, Wincor will assume responsibility for the bank's 2000+ ATMs and other self-service terminals, providing net-based system monitoring and control, software updates and detection and rectification of faults.

The bank has also outsourced cash management supply operations to Wincor Nixdorf. The vendor will be responsible for the whole cash supply to the branches and the monitoring and replenishment of ATMs.

Wincor says the deal marks a significant step in its strategy to move from a system supplier to a provider of managed services which are intended to represent half of the company's entire business in the medium term.
