Soc Gen says it has installed its first voice-assisted cash machine at its Tour Montparnasse branch in Paris. The new units have been fitted with a high-quality voice support system and will be supplemented with headphones. Keypad characters have also been raised to facilitate access.

The bank says it eventually plans to roll out the vocal synthesis technology across its national network of 4000 ATMs.
