HyperFeed Technologies has selected Savvis Communication's Intelligent IP Network multicast solution to deliver its Managed Exchange Platform Services (MEPS) market data system to financial institutions.
Under the deal, Hyperfeed will deliver its platform, which offers access to direct exchange data feeds as well as consolidated and third party data, via Savvis' private multicast network.
Savvis says its multicast technology enables application providers to send a copy of the data to the network which is routed and delivered only to those clients that selected it.
Paul Pluschkell, president and COO, HyperFeed, says the partnership with Savvis enables the firm to deliver high performance, real-time exchange data with minimal latency, in a cost-effective manner.
"Savvis offers us private multicast network services that, when combined with our channelising technology, allows our customers to select the exchanges they need from our MEPS or directly from the exchanges and integrate the result at their facility," says Pluschkell.
