Diebold says the Opteva range, which includes advanced function through-the-wall and lobby ATMs and cash dispensers, is a key element in its enhanced lifecycle strategy for the Emea region.

The ATMs will run on its Agilis software and will be covered by Diebold's premier maintenance service.

The vendor has also established a new Emea facility in the Netherlands, employing 40 staff to deliver logistics and repair support for the region.

Henrik Funch, divisional vice president, Diebold Emea, says: "Our strategy is to provide financial institutions with maximum control of their self-service assets, combined with the ability to use ATMs as a CRM Channel and create other revenue opportunities."

Diebold's Emea division includes direct operations in 15 countries, with a further 31 countries covered by a network of distributors. The company says the integration of the Getronics and Groupe Bull ATM business, which it acquired in 2000, is now fully accomplished.
