Thomson Financial has appointed David Gandy, formerly of Nasdaq Europe and Reuters, as managing director of its global sales and account management team in Europe.
Gandy moved to Nasdaq Europe last year after a fourteen-year spell at Reuters. The European arm of the US market for growth stocks has struggled to win liquidity and retain company listings during the current market downturn.
During his time at Reuters, Gandy held a number of senior roles including global MD, equities and fixed income for information business, MD of commercial and business strategy, global accounts, deputy MD of UKI and MD of risk management.
In his new role, Gandy will report to Sue Lait, sales director, Thomson Financial Europe.
