Thomson Financial has launched Thomson One Banker, a desktop solution that combines real-time market data and news with investment banking research content and earnings estimates.
The system allows users to personalise their desktop by integrating content sets from disparate databases side by side for more than 60,000 global companies. Bankers can select the content they would like to view from both internal and third party sources and designate how and where they would like it to be displayed on their pages. The system can be deployed as a browser-based product, or a workstation solution that resides on an internal system.
Thomson One Banker is a component of Thomson One, an open application framework that allows for the integration and distribution of Thomson products, third party and proprietary products onto a single platform. The package has been put toegher under a major initiative by the vendor to capitalise on bank IT spending curbs with a view to displacing premium content suppliers such as Reuters and Bloomberg.
