Thomson delivers investment banking module to Morgan Stanley

Thomson Financial is to roll out its Thomson One Banker market data product to Morgan Stanley's investment banking staff in North America.

The software provides simplified access to disparate market information and news including company fundamental data, earnings estimates and analyses, transaction data and research.

Data is gathered from sources such as I/B/E/S, Worldscope, Investext, Extel and Thomson Securities Data Company and the product allows users to view content sets from disparate databases for more than 60,000 firms.

Sharon Rowlands, president and COO, Thomson Financial, comments: "Morgan Stanley understands the value in giving their bankers the most robust, easily navigable financial information platform available so that they can better serve their clients."

Thomson One Banker is a component of the vendor's Thomson One package which includes Thomson One Advisor, an integrated wealth management and market data product for financial advisors and Thomson One Equity for the institutional equities market.

The vendor says it plans to launch Thomson One Yield for fixed income users early in 2003 and investment management and investor relations solutions will be introduced later in the year.
