FleetBoston Financial is using NCR's Aptra software suite for the simultaneous provision of advanced functionality at ATMs from different manufacturers in New York and Boston.
NCR's browser-based Aptra solution is designed to allow banks to deploy new applications across machines from multiple manufacturers.
Fleet is using the software to deliver advanced services to cash machine users in New York and Boston, providing language preferences, voice guidance and the ability to purchase postage stamps and preset a withdrawal amount.
By year-end, the bank intends to provide access to online bill payment and 30-day statements through the Fleet HomeLink online banking service.
