The migration marks the first customer port of the 724 Solutions Financial Services Platform (FSP) - the technology behind BMO's Veev in Canada and US affiliate Harris Wireless in the US - to the Sun platform.

"Bank of Montreal and Harris Bank continue to expand the Veev and Harris Wireless offerings to include more functionality and more languages, in more geographies," says Mark Dickelman, vice president, m-commerce and wireless, Bank of Montreal. "Porting the 724 Solutions FSP to the Solaris operating environment allows us to continue this expansion with the assurance of the reliability and scalability we will need moving forward."

Veev was launched in May of 1999, and Harris Wireless rolled out to consumers in July of 2000. Veev is currently available in both French and English in central and western Canada, while Harris Wireless is available to the bank's entire customer base, located mainly in the Chicago area.
