Turkey's Isbank has enabled Apple's TouchID fingerprint log-in for mobile banking on the iPhone.
The new functionality removes the need to type in a PIN, enabling a quick and easy login for users of the Monitise-powered İşCep app on the iPhone5 and above.
İşbank claims over 1.2 million mobile banking users, saying that "thousands" of its customers use iPhones compatible with Touch ID.
Peter Radcliffe, Monitise president Emea & Asia Pacific, says: "Today's consumer values a secure and seamless mobile banking experience - with the launch of TouchID technology for İşCep, we're getting a glimpse into a future where accessing your money is a completely frictionless process."
Last year, İşbank installed around 3400 Hitachi biometric finger vein scanners in ATMs and branches across the country, enabling customers to withdraw cash without a card.
