Design One Creative, a one-year old start up that sells picture card technology to US credit unions and banks has now followed Michigan-based Cuso United Solutions in taking out a license for the Serverside technology.

Adam Elgar, Serverside president welcomed the move: "The protection of our intellectual property is one of our highest priorities and with this in mind we will continue to devote all resources necessary to protect it."

Serverside filed suit in Delaware in June, alleging that 15 parties were infringing its US patent rights to card customisation technology.

The 13 remaining parties in the suit are CPI Card Group, PSCU Financial Services, The Members Group, Eastern Bank, Dimpledough, JHA Payment Processing Solutions, T8 Webware, Bank Iowa, Anheuser-Busch Employees' Credit Union, American State Bank, Neighbors Credit Union and Credit Union 1.
