India-based Vysya Bank has gone live with the Profile integrated banking solution from Sanchez Computer Associates.
The private bank is the first institution in India to replace its legacy banking environment with a fully integrated bank branch, ATM and Internet solution.
The bank is deploying the Profile solution as part of an aggressive business plan to modernise the bank's retail and corporate banking operations in south India where the bank has prominent brand equity. The license supports up to 800,000 accounts. The bank is also planning to expand its product offerings into northern India through ATMs and the Internet.
"Upon full completion of the roll-out Vysya Bank will have centralised customer information and the ability to offer integrated banking services across several delivery channels on a 24 by 7 basis," says Doug Enns, managing director of international operations for Sanchez.
The bank is currently rolling out the solution to 200 of its branches and aims to complete the entire conversion next year.
