Deutsche Bank has selected technology from Avaya for a global telecommunications consolidation project covering 3100 buildings in 72 countries.
The project, which will take between three and five years, will use Avaya's Aura Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)-based communications architecture.
This includes IP telephony and associated applications that enable click-to-dial from computer screens, extend office calls, and directory access to mobile phones.
The core Avaya IPT infrastructure will be located in the company's data centres to minimise the amount of equipment required in branch sites, saving money on voice installations and improving service levels, says the vendor.
