The deal is Fiserv's first contract win in the country since it formed a partnership with Digital China - which is one the largest distributor and systems integrators in China - to provide its ICBS product to the Chinese market.

Fiserv says SRCB - which has 200 branches and over seven million accounts - selected its ICBS product after evaluating technology from several local and vendors.

The US vendor says the scalable system will enable the bank to offer new products and services quickly to meet growing demand. The platform has also been customised for the local Chinese market.

"The combination of the local knowledge and expertise provided by Digital China and the banking and technology guidance of Fiserv will be conveyed in the ongoing success of ShenZhen Bank," says David Hamilton-Matthews, MD, Fiserv Asia-Pacific.
