UK banking group Alliance and Leicester (A&L) has signed a five year contract with ATM advertising specialists i-design, which will enable it to run both third party advertising and internal marketing campaigns across its cash machine network.
Under the terms of the deal Scotland-based i-design has licensed the use of its ATM:ad technology to A&L and will provide the bank with on-going maintenance.
I-design says it will also have exclusive rights to sell third party advertising space across the bank's ATM network.
Frank Lambe, head of cash development, A&L, says: "This agreement will enable us to deliver highly targeted marketing across our ATM channel as well as enabling us to increase awareness of our products and services."
I-design floated on London's Alternative Investment Market (AIM) in July. Company CEO Anna Stewart says the floatation has helped the firm attract new customers and generate new business.
"The benefits of our raised profile since joining AIM in July this year have played an important role in signing this contract and we continue to accelerate the growth of the business, now having exclusive rights to sell advertising on over 2000 ATMs," she adds.
The firm already runs ad campaigns across the ATM networks of HSBC and Nationwide.
