Shares in Getronics have slumped after the Dutch IT services firm said takeover talks with an un-named US company had been terminated.
Getronics stock fell to EUR5.47 im morning trading - down 16.23% from Tuesday's close - after the firm released a statement saying it was no longer in takeover talks.
The vendor said earlier this month that it had received a "formal expression of interest" from an un-named US-based firm. A number of companies were rumoured to be the un-named suitor including SystemsNet, Hewlett Packard, IBM, EDS and private equity firm Platinum Equity.
But in today's statment Getronics says following preliminary discussions talks with the party have been terminated.
