US bank Wachovia is offering online banking customers a patent-pending mobile account information and intra-account funds transfer service for Internet-enabled cell phones and PDAs.
Customers access Wachovia Mobile via the bank's Web site and can log in using their online banking user ID and password.
The initial phase of the service is is available to customers who have devices using Windows Mobile 5 with Pocket Internet Explorer.
Wachovia says it is working to open up the system to customers with handhelds that use other operating systems.
