Dutch banking group Rabobank is introducing Rabo Mobile, an integrated mobile banking and voice calling service.
The bank has teamed with network operator Orange and Dutch multimedia company Talpa to develop Rabo Mobile and will distribute customised handsets to subscribers.
Aimed at the bank's 2.6 million Internet banking users Rabo Mobile will enable customers to transfer funds between their own accounts and to other accounts. A text alert service will also be available which will notify customers of debits and payments.
Customers will also be able to subscribe to the regular mobile phone service. Mobile calls will be charged at 10 euro cents a minute, but users must make a minimum of EUR10 worth of calls a month.
Customers will also receive 1MB free Internet use every month, says the bank.
