Australian banking group Westpac has awarded a five year facilities management contract, worth EUR92 million, to a 50:50 joint venture firm established by France's Sodexho Alliance and UK-based Mowlem.
Under the deal, the JV will provide FM services across Westpac's 1700 sites across Australia, including branches, offices and ATMs.
Neil Barrett, CEO of Sodexho Australia and New Zealand, says: "This significant contract heralds a new era in the delivery of outsourced facilities management in Australia."
Simon Vivian, chief executive at Mowlem, says the deal "represents a significant step forward in the development of our services offering in Australasia".
