San Franciso-based biometric payments company Pay By Touch has appointed Bank of America's Larry Hollowood as its chief security officer.

Hollowood previously worked with BoA for eight years in a variety of executive-level positions in IT operations, including senior vice president of corporate information security and architecture and emerging technologies. He was also active in several external organisations that develop security and privacy standards, including the Liberty Alliance, Oasis and the OMG.

Prior to this Hollowood managed information security at Mellon Bank and served in senior technical positions at Westinghouse Electric.

In his new role, Hollowood will manage information security and business continuity services, as well as oversee IT operations for Pay By Touch.
