European bank, ABN Amro has chosen to license Fineos' life and pensions enterprise software solution in the Netherlands, after a six-month tender process, which included 30 other vendors.
The new system will act as the main workflow and product management engine for all of the bank’s life and pensions contracts. Tightly integrated with the existing IT infrastructure of the bank, it will be available across all ABN Amro branches, call centres, the Web and head-office departments in the Netherlands.
Hans ten Wolde, VP, ABN Amro bank, Netherlands, says: "ABN Amro wants a full integration of its banking and insurance activities...We believe Fineos has the best solution for these needs, and we expect the Fineos software to easily integrate into the bank's corporate IT architecture."
Scheduled to go live in February 2002, the fully Web-enabled solution will provide ABN Amro with the flexibility to deliver and sell its insurance products faster, and across new channels, says the company. Highly scalable, the system will be geared for high-volume transactions and will also help to improve the bank’s work management and service efficiency.
