Nationwide licenses Insession Web Services technology for multi-channel project

The UK's Nationwide Building Society has licensed Insession Technologies' Web Services product WebGate and SafeTGate security software, which it will use to integrate transaction systems - including ATMs, branches, teller software and Internet banking services - across multiple mainframes.

The WebGate package is designed for firms that use HP NonStop servers for transaction processing and need to provide Web access to existing applications, or integrate clients and applications using Web Services technology.

SafeTGate secures Web Services and existing applications for HP NonStop users.

Michael Humphreys, Nationwide Building Society, says the products will be used to integrate ACI's Base24 system with legacy systems.

"As we continue to migrate toward integrated Web Services, Insession became the clear choice to help us reach our self service market faster and comply with ever-evolving industry standards," says Humphreys.
