Nationwide Building Society has launched a fee-free online travel money service in time for the start of the holiday season.
The service, which is available to both customers and non-customers, promises next-day recorded delivery for orders received before 2.30pm. Consumers pay only a £3.50 handling/delivery charge.
Nationwide says a customer using the system to order £1000 of foreign currency would typically save £20 on the equivalent transaction with Barclays Bank.
