SunGard, Cap Gemini and Brainpower have joined together to set up a 'best practice laboratory' for the Italian asset management community.
The partners say the objective of the laboratory is to create opportunities to exchange ideas and best practices around portfolio modelling, strategy execution and straight-through processing.
Cap Gemini is co-ordinating the initiative from a consulting perspective, bringing clients and ideas together. Analytics technology for the lab is provided by Brainpower, while SunGard Investment Management Systems is contributing the Decalog STP platform - already in use at four leading Italian asset managers.
Christian Pelanconi, managing director, South Europe, SunGard, says the lab will look to "help asset managers benchmark their investment management procedures and possible target architectures".
