BT Syntegra and Cisco introduce ITS Hotlink collaboration system

BT Syntegra is to showcase ITS Hotlink, a collaborative application developed for use with Cisco IP phones, at the CeBIT technology exhibition in Hanover this week.

ITS Hotlink provides users of Cisco IP phones that are located off the trading floor with the ability to access calls to and from dealing rooms.

Authorised users can make and receive calls on a private wire or can conference into calls. Simultaneous ringing on both ITS Turrets and Cisco IP phones will allow support staff to answer a manager's private wire calls from clients. Managers based off the trading floor can also use the system to monitor the status of their team's private wires and conference in as necessary. ITS Hotlink will also enable sales and back office staff to view private wire calls. All calls are recorded via ITS to a voice recorder.

Ben Fursman, head of sales, EMEA, for trading systems at BT Syntegra, says: "We can now provide our customers with the ability to rapidly and seamlessly handle queries and delegate time-consuming administrative tasks, optimising the use of front line people."

Beat Umbricht, head, financial services marketing, Cisco Systems, EMEA, says ITS Hotlink will enable Cisco IP phones to work as virtual off-trading-floor extensions to trading turrets: "ITS Hotlink provides powerful visibility of private wire calls on the trading floor to Cisco IP phone users who have historically never had the access to this information - enabling them to become more directly involved in client support."

BT Syntegra will also be demonstrating its new multi-media desktop device ITS.Netrix at CeBit, which enables traders to manage all communications channels, including voice, video, instant messaging, e-mail and Web through a single device.
