Syntegra's ITS pV405Hi turrets and pVs42i open line speakers will be used by 55 derivative traders and replace the Hitachi PBX-based turrets that Meitan Tradition has been using for the past eight years.

The new technology is supported by Syntegra's ITS p51 telephony switch running on ITS Release 14 software.

The vendor says the digital signal processing delivered by its MegaLink open-line module provides full echo cancellation on up to 24 simultaneous open-line channels, allowing brokers to be easily heard on the busy trading floor.

Timothy Lay, head of derivative trading Asia, Meitan Tradition, says the move to new premises provided the opportunity to upgrade the firm's voice trading technology.

"We were impressed with the functionality of their (Syntegra's) turrets, the superior audio quality of the open-line speakers and the ease by which we can further expand the voice trading requirements for our fast-moving trading floor if required," says Lay.
