The multicast network integrates HyperFeed's Managed Exchange Platform Services and H!Box software with Savvis managed network services to offer a utility service for the consumption and transmission of real-time financial information.

Via entitlements and permissioning systems, customers access only the data they elect to receive and are not forced to take bundled sets of financial content. The package, which also includes an end-to-end Service Level Agreement, features adaptors to a number of widely used middleware platforms for integration with inhouse systems. To access the data, users need an on-site H!Box.

The first North American exchanges will be live on the Data Delivery Utility by the end of 2003, say the firms, with additional exchanges rolled out globally in the first half of 2004.

Paul Pluschkell, president of HyperFeed, states: "The Data Delivery Utility service is a fluid, decentralised approach to financial data delivery that will fundamentally change the way financial content is processed, transmitted, and delivered."
