Misys Risk Management Systems has promoted Michel Van Leeuwen to chief executive officer (CEO).
His promotion comes as incumbent CEO Helen O'Dea takes a newly created divisional role of people and communications director.
Van Leeuwen joined Misys Risk Management Systems as COO in April 2003, charged with steering the business in its first phase of operating independently.
In his new role he will concentrate on increasing market share for the vendor's Risk Vision software.
Misys says O'Dea's appointment to people and communications director will reinforce its commitment to recruit, develop and retain the industry's best talent.
