Misys Retail Banking has introduced an iSeries version of its Swift Message Management (SMM) interface that connects its retail banking system Equation to its Meridian Link messaging solution.
The vendor says the iSeries SMM delivers lower set-up costs and simpler recovery than its Windows equivalent.
The first customer went live with the interface on 4 September 2003 and the system has been installed at a futher three sites, with more scheduled for the coming weeks.
The iSeries SMM improves business efficiency through payment automation and management by exception. The system is not sensitive to volume, so large increases in transaction numbers do not require additional staff and pressures around peak trading periods and currency cut-off times are alleviated.
Misys says all clients with the Windows version can exchange their licences to take the iSeries SMM at no additional cost.
