Great article. I agree banks need to take a long and holistic view of their digital transformation initiatives. Digital transformation is going to involve more than just the latest shiny new technology. In addition to investing in technology, banks will need to break down organizational silos, evolve their business processes and implement a governance program that drives accountability, ensures adoption, and holistically focuses the bank on their desired outcomes and long-term vision. Otherwise, they'll metaphorically still suffer the same bottlenecks and delays that Bostonians are dealing with even after the Big Dig.
