iPhone suddenly gets more stuff for it....

The BBC have rolled out a beta version of their iPlayer for the iPhone. And it's stunning. Needs WiFi to work but the picture and sound quality are excellent. I'm just watching Panorama now. I mean - working hard on Finextra - not watching telly all day through the client wifi. Ok - no fintech angle here. I'll get me coat.

Will the real Damian McMeekin please stand up

Catch this hilarious video of Damian McMeekin, ANZ's global head of security having his identity stolen by ABC TV's Julian Morrow at the annual Combatting Identity Fraud summit in Australia earlier this month. As McMeekin is called to give his presentation a wigged-out Morrow beats him to the lectern and starts lecturing the audience on the peril...

Behold Sex Panther

I was sent an e-mail today with the cryptic subject line: Behold sex panther! What could it all mean? Probably a reference to some dodgy video porno site or compromised Web server, I thought. So, naturally, I clicked on the linkā€¦and was instantly transported back to the Sibos party at the Boston Convention centre, when six young men with boy b...

Is the iPod touch the PDA done properly?

I've had a Palm for years - since they were called PalmPilots in fact - and have yet to find something that's as reliable, lightweight and - well - useful. Enter stage left the iPod touch - lots of the groovy features from the much-hyped iPhone, plus it's an iPod and - well - mine is getting on a bit.... The most interesting thing for me is the ...
