I'll be staying on for the weekend after Sibos. Thinking of hiring a car and taking off to Cape Cod for a bit of R&R.

Some recommendations:

The best restaurants: Great Bay, Azure, Om, Mantra, The Metropolitan Club
The best chill out (also dine): Radius
Boston is very walkable - take advantage of that. Walk from downtown to Boston Commons, Copley Square, see architecture in Beacon Hill, Back Bay and Brookline.
Take the red line (subway) and visit Harvard (Cambridge).
There are troleys that go around and show the city - special for tourists.
Shop at Prudential Center (next to the convention center, you won't miss it), cross the bridge to Copley Place - upscale shopping (if you come from Europe, you'll probably get very good deals).
