Mindboggling science and the arrival of home evolutus

TED speaker Juan Enriquez looks beyond the financial crisis at mindboggling science and the arrival of home evolutus.

Here's the pitch: "Even as mega-banks topple, Juan Enriquez says the big reboot is yet to come. But don't look for it on your ballot -- or in the stock exchange. It'll come from science labs, and it promises keener bodies and minds. Our kids are going to be ... different."

Not only fascinating but a powerful lesson in how to use a Powerpoint presentation to keep an audience riveted.

Seventeen minutes of your time well spent.

Hat-tip to Sean Park for bringing this to my attention.

I often remind my children that they'll in all probability live for more than 150 years if they look after themselves and maintain a healthy lifestyle (and bank balance). I also suggest that they are careful what they do as unlike earlier generations, every single thing they do, write or possibly say may well be recorded for longer than that.
