“How many days until the next team meeting?”, "Can you set the timer for 15 mins?”, "Can you order a pizza from my favourite café?"
How nice it is when someone can practically follow our commands and organize the day. No, we are not talking about any “house elves” but our very own virtual assistants, Alexa and Siri, which are now becoming a part of our “households”. Powered by sophisticated artificial intelligence, personal virtual assistants have become an integral part of our lives, true to Gartner's predictions that an era of smart machine will be the “most disruptive in the history of IT”. There are nearly 4.2 billion digital voice assistants, and forecasts suggest that by 2024, the number will reach 8.4 billion units – higher than the world's population.
In a world dominated by digital technologies and increasing millennials, technology-enabled user experience is the need of the hour. And its high time that organizations start to re-imagine, re-invent user experiences, which go beyond culture and engagement.
